Pet Sitter Sheffield

Looking for a Sheffield Pet Sitter or Cattery? Why not use our home cat sitting service!

Captain Mewalot is a Pet Sitting Company in Sheffield and is an excellent alternative to Catteries in Sheffield. If you're looking for a Sheffield Cattery because you're going away whether it be for business of pleasure, a cat sitting service such as ours could prove a cheaper and a more attractive alternative. Catteries in and around Sheffield would be one option, but Sheffield Catteries could be more expensive than a home cat sitting service. Not only that, but pets and cats are easily upset, and keeping them at home while you're away would be much more preferrable than taking your cats to a Cattery in Sheffield. We cover the whole of Sheffield, including S1, S17, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S11 etc, plus all the main areas such as:

Catteries are places where cats can stay temporarily while their owner is away on holiday or for other reasons such as house moves, family reasons or business. The standard of catteries is defined by the Feline Advisory Bureau and are licensed by local councils Environmental Health department. This is the case in Sheffield also. Sheffield is in South Yorkshire and is an excellent city to stay in if you're a Cat lover, with many Catteries and Pet Sitters in the area.

Our cat sitting service starts at only £7 per day, so in most cases is cheaper than taking your pet cat to a Cattery. Get a quote immediately using our online quote service or just give us a call or drop us an email! We cover all the regions of Sheffield including Totley, Dore, Crosspool, Lodge Moor, Stannington, Hillsborough and Rivelin. Our service:

Friendly, Caring, Safe...

and cheaper than a cattery!

Cat’s don’t like change. If you asked your cat whether they would prefer to get bundled off into the unfamiliar and strange new surroundings of a cattery or whether they’d prefer just to stay at home, we think they’d give you a pretty clear answer.

What a great service! We used to send our cats to a cattery in Sheffield and they were always so unhappy. It was lovely to see them having so much fun through the online diary. Captain Mewalot is a great alternative to a cattery. Thank you!

An informative site from the RSPCA…...

In a few of my blog posts recently I have had a tendency to compare our home cat sitting service to the option of entrusting your pet to a cattery in Sheffield. Catteries  are often the best option for people especially if you feel strange allowing someone into your home when you are away.

However when I’m caring for cats in their own environments it really does seem quite obvious that a home cat sitting service is definitely the best option for the cat. It’s lovely to see them at ease and playful, happily interacting with the toys that I take round. Even the timid ones will come round by the end of the holiday. Once they know you’re there to bring them food, water and kind attention it’s not long before you’ve made a new friend.

I do quite like the RSPCA’s website and the information they provide on caring for your cat, for me it just helped to back up what I’ve always thought.

Here’s the link if you want to have a look:

http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pets/cats

I particularly like the section about the environment that a cat should be kept in and the comparisons it makes to their close relations, the big cats in the wild!
It’s great to know that our home cat sitting service is helping to keep our feline friends happy and I quote:

“Cats are territorial animals and become very attached to places. They are naturally frightened of unfamiliar places and smells; they prefer to stay in their familiar home.”

It also talks about the importance of having space to run around, jump and climb. Familiar hiding places so they feel safe and interaction so that they don’t get bored. I’ve only ever used a cattery once myself and I know these needs weren’t met. Compared to the option of a cattery in Sheffield I’m sure we’re better equipped to meet these needs.

I do hope those Sheffield cattery users out there might think about giving our service a chance.
