Captain Mewalot is an excellent alternative to Catteries in Sheffield. If you're looking for a Sheffield Cattery because you're going away whether it be for business of pleasure, a cat sitting service such as ours could prove a cheaper and a more attractive alternative. Catteries in and around Sheffield would be one option, but Sheffield Catteries could be more expensive than a home cat sitting service. Not only that, but cats are easily upset, and keeping them at home while you're away would be much more preferrable than taking your cats to a Cattery in Sheffield. We cover the whole of Sheffield, including S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S11 etc, plus all the main areas such as:

Catteries are places where cats can stay temporarily while their owner is away on holiday or for other reasons such as house moves, family reasons or business. The standard of catteries is defined by the Feline Advisory Bureau and are licensed by local councils Environmental Health department. This is the case in Sheffield also. Sheffield is in South Yorkshire and is an excellent city to stay in if you're a Cat lover, with many Catteries and Pet Sitters in the area.

Our cat sitting service starts at only £7 per day, so in most cases is cheaper than taking your pet cat to a Cattery. Our service:

Friendly, Caring, Safe...

and cheaper than a cattery!

Cat’s don’t like change. If you asked your cat whether they would prefer to get bundled off into the unfamiliar and strange new surroundings of a cattery or whether they’d prefer just to stay at home, we think they’d give you a pretty clear answer.

We were really pleased with the service and the cats seemed very happy. It was great to be able to see the pictures online which gave us piece of mind, and it was so nice to see that Rachael took the time to play with the cats aswell as doing the normal duties. Also worth mentioning that things were left very tidy for our return and the key was returned quickly. We will definitely use the service again and will recommend to others.

An exciting year ahead…..

At Captain Mewalot we’re committed to providing the best possible cat sitting service for both our cats and our cats owners.

We thought we’d just let you know about some improvements we’re planning to make in 2010….

Reducing our Carbon Paw Print… - protecting the environment for the future feline generations is an important issue for Captain Mewalot and therefore we will be making every effort to reduce our carbon paw print.
We now run a recycling scheme for all recyclable packaging like tin cans, cardboard biscuits boxes, litter wrappers etc
For those with litter needs we only use 100% biodegradable compostable disposal bags
Using our legs and environmentally friendly peddle bikes more instead of the car….. where possible between houses and on short journeys we’ll be ditching the car and using foot power and peddle power to get us about instead.

Charity Work - we’re quite aware that many of our little furry friends didn’t always have the best start in life and it’s often down to the kindness of cat sanctuaries and charities that they get another chance. Watch this space for a future fundraising events in the aid of our favourite Sheffield charities.

Free online video diary - Coming soon an opportunity to catch up with the real action while your away with our online video diaries.

Ho Ho Ho let it snow!

Cat Sitting in Sheffield at Christmas is so much fun, we had plenty of mouths to feed this year and enjoyed spreading some Christmas cheer amongst our furry friends.

We could have done without the snow to be honest as it made for some very long journeys to the many houses around Sheffield and kept us very fit with the sometimes long walks trudging through the snow. But it was always worth the extra effort when greeted by a friendly, purring, playful kitten or cat. At Captain Mewalot we’re very proud to be able to say that even though at times Sheffield ground to a halt in the snow Sheffield’s favourite cat sitting service certainly did not and we didn’t miss a single visit.

Christmas day was extra special with each cat and kitten having their own little Christmas tree and receiving a gift from Santa, it was a real pleasure to capture the images of them all opening their new cat toys and the playful times afterwards for the online diaries.

As the snow began to thaw and we headed into the New Year Captain Mewalot was looking forward to meeting many new friends in 2010 and for some exciting new developments in how we are able to capture your cats adventures!
